When my plug-in hybrid vehicle’s service engine light came on, an authorized Jeep Dealership diagnosed and fixed the electric coolant heater then also performed a software up to address the recall 95B/NHTSA 24V-720. In less than 2 weeks, my vehicle flagged a hybrid system error code “B273C.” The Jeep dealership immediately impounded my vehicle per the regional Stellantis technical team’s orders. My vehicle has been held at the dealership for over a month with no repairs or timeline for when a repair will be available. It’s unacceptable for a custom built fully paid off vehicle (2023 JGC 4xe Summit) to become such a huge liability and poorly reflects on the Jeep/Stellantis brand. There has been no support from their case management team and no urgency/ timeline provided for when this issue will be resolved. When manufacturing defects result in making a vehicle un-driveable, the manufacturer should prioritize finding a solution and provide customers with a rental of equitable quality to ensure the Jeep brand experience is maintained. Most importantly, for a vehicle that is only 2 years old, it is concerning from a safety perspective that it has had so many issues with the hybrid system for which the manufacturer has no solutions available.
