Recall Summary
General Rubber (Thailand) Co., Ltd (General Rubber) is recalling certain Xcellent Roadbreaker A/T tires, size LT305/65R17. The tire may crack and the inner liner may separate, which can result in tire failure. As such, these tires fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 139, "New Pneumatic Radial Tires for Light Vehicles."
The issue:
Tire failure can cause a sudden loss of tire pressure, increasing the risk of a crash.
How to resolve this:
General Rubber will provide a refund of the purchase price of the tires. A notification schedule has not yet been provided. Owners may contact Gremax Industrial Inc. at 469-222-0888. General Rubber's number for this recall is 045.
